ZBF works to relieve suffering, empower dispossessed people and enable the rebuilding of communities in Zimbabwe.
This is being achieved by working through three linked programs: the provision of material assistance to victims of political violence and their families, the provision of humanitarian aid and long term solutions to extreme poverty and the implementation of sustainable empowerment solutions.
Each programme has allowed Zimbabweans to build a future and have a quality of life in the present. Seeds of Survival has allowed Zimbabweans to grow their own food and overtime become independent of food hand outs. With Building Bricks of Life beneficiaries are able to build their own house while having a purpose and independence through employment. Our Political Violence programme ensures that those who have been victimised as a result of their choices or beliefs have support to recover from the persecution.
In addition to our 3 main programmes ZBF offers support on a necessity basis. The current need for clean water in Bulawayo led to ZBF providing tanks and clean water for 32,000 people.

Crisis Response
ZBF works on numerous projects to empower Zimbabweans through, agriculture, education and employment and housing solutions. However the current need is to provide emergency response to the ongoing crisis. We have therefore launched the Zimbabwe Crisis Response to be used to provide water, food and shelter to all Zimbabweans. In particularly targeting those most affected: orphans, child headed families, the infirm and the elderly.
